If you don’t fix the root issues, no supplement, probiotic, or trendy diet will actually heal your gut.

What works for one person won’t work for the next and that’s exactly why you need to understand your gut, not just follow generic advice.

That’s why I’m hosting a Gut Health Live where I’ll break this all down for you step-by-step.

I know you know the feeling... low energy, stubborn weight, brain fog, hormone imbalances... the list goes on.

There is a organ many people don't talk about... and it's your thyroid.

What you eat daily can either support your thyroid or work against it.

Nutrient-dense, mineral-rich foods like these help provide the building blocks your thyroid needs to function properly especially when it comes to selenium, iodine, protein, and healthy fats.

The goal isn’t perfection, it’s consistently giving your body what it needs to heal and regulate.

Which of these foods are you already eating regularly? I would love to know!

Healing is not about adding more but really understanding what is going on at the root cause.

Gut health is the foundation. When it’s off, inflammation rises, and that ripple effect impacts everything… including thyroid function, testosterone levels, and how your body actually responds to treatment.

This is why so many people feel stuck. They’re addressing symptoms, but not the root cause.

When you start with the gut and reduce inflammation, everything else has a better chance to function the way it’s supposed to.

Have you ever focused on gut health before, or are you just starting to connect the dots?

There is one aspect of your gut health that plays a key role in your metabolism that many people aren’t talking about.

If you’re constantly hungry, dealing with stubborn weight, or struggling with your skin, then this could be why.

Akkermansia plays a key role in appetite, metabolism, and inflammation. When levels are low, you may feel hungrier, have more cravings, and notice skin issues like acne or dullness.

When supported, many people notice better satiety, fewer cravings, and clearer skin. This is something we can actually test for, which helps get real answers.

Women’s bodies don’t work like men’s… and they were never meant to.

Our hormones shift.
Our energy changes.
And what works one week can completely fall flat the next.

When you actually start paying attention to your body, it begins to tell you everything you need to know…
when to eat, how to move, when to rest, and when it’s time to push.

That’s exactly why I wrote Fix Your Hormones, Fix Your Gut.

To help you understand what’s really going on in your body… and give you a clear, practical plan to start feeling like yourself again.

Bowel health matters more than most people realize… and it’s something I always ask my patients about.

From an endocrinology perspective, you should be having at least one bowel movement per day. This isn’t just about digestion, it’s about detoxification. Your body processes estrogen through the liver, sends it to the gut, and it’s meant to be eliminated through your stool.

But if things aren’t moving, whether due to thyroid issues or hormone imbalances, that estrogen can sit in the gut too long. Certain bacteria can then reactivate it, allowing it to recirculate in the body instead of being cleared.

This is how gut health directly impacts hormone balance.

You’re not hard to treat. You’ve just been dismissed.

This week, I’m joined by Dr. Efrat Lamandre to talk about something so many women experience but don’t talk about enough… feeling dismissed when it comes to their hormones.

We dive into why emotional honesty matters in the doctor’s office, how to actually advocate for yourself, and what to do if your provider isn’t listening.

Because your symptoms are real. And you deserve care that reflects that.

ā˜€ļøVitamin D isn’t just a vitamin…

It’s a HORMONE!!! And it has receptors on nearly every cell in your body.

Yes… Vitamin D is involved in calcium balance, immune function, cardiovascular health, fertility... and it plays a massive role in thyroid function.

Yet deficiency is wildly common. And almost always overlooked.

🚨 Here’s what most doctors won’t tell you 🚨

Low Vitamin D has been linked to higher cancer risk and worse health outcomes over time. And while standard lab ranges say 30 is ā€œnormalā€...

Normal isn’t optimal.

Optimal is closer to 60!!! And in some cases, even higher to properly support your body.

This is one of the most important (and simplest) things you can optimize for your health. And most doctors aren’t even checking it properly.

Still dealing with bloating, stubborn weight gain, or thyroid symptoms… even though your labs look ā€œnormalā€?

Your gut may be part of the reason.

What most people don’t realize is that your gut microbiome plays a major role in how estrogen is processed in the body. Certain bacteria help regulate how estrogen is metabolized and cleared. When the gut is disrupted, estrogen can be reabsorbed and recirculated instead of eliminated.
Over time, that recirculation can increase exposure to estrogen and influence risk for certain cancers.

And it doesn’t stop there. Your gut also affects thyroid function, hormone activation, and how well you absorb the nutrients your body needs to actually feel better.

In my new book, I break down how hormones, gut health, and metabolism are all connected and what actually needs to be tested if you want real answers.

If you’re dealing with dysbiosis or leaky gut, you can’t out-supplement a lifestyle that’s still causing damage.

Healing starts with removal. From an endocrinology perspective, I see this all the time. You have to eliminate the triggers first, like sugar, processed foods, wheat, and lectins, before your gut can actually repair.

Then shift your focus to nourishment with foods like bone broth, fermented foods, and whole, organic ingredients. Support detox through daily movement and sweating, and consider targeted support like glutathione. From there, you can begin to truly repair and rebalance with probiotics, gut support, and fiber.

It’s a process, not a quick fix.
