The transition to parenthood can bring overwhelm, worry, and sadness - especially with little sleep and the demands of a newborn. Because these feelings are not talked about enough, many mothers may feel alone, despite nearly 85% of women reporting mood disturbances following birth.

While it's quite common to experience "baby blues" during the first two weeks post birth, feelings of sadness, worry, or overwhelm that persist may warrant a closer look.

If you're feeling isolated or alone, please know there are resources available to provide support. You can find them linked below.

While the "baby blues" typically resolve in the first two weeks following birth, mood changes lasting longer than this may indicate postpartum depression, anxiety, or psychosis, which can require additional support and treatment.

So excited to share that I will be heading to Bozeman for a Spinning Babies training! πŸŒ€
As a doula and lactation counselor, I am always looking for ways to deepen my practice and bring more knowledge and tools back to the families I serve. Spinning Babies takes a physiology first approach to birth, working with balance, movement, and the wisdom of the body rather than force. That is exactly the kind of care I believe every birthing person deserves.
I cannot wait to bring what I learn back home to our community here in Denver and beyond. Birth is not something that happens in isolation, it unfolds when families, care teams, and communities work together. That is what this work is all about.

🌿 Wellness, Connection & Community 🌿

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Wellness & Networking Fair yesterday! It was a wonderful afternoon filled with connection, community resources, and opportunities to recharge and support overall well-being.

We are so grateful to our incredible community partners - including Adams County Health Department, Riverdale Animal Shelter, Pennock Center for Counseling, Community Reach Center, Xcel Energy, and many others - for sharing their time, expertise, and resources with our community.

Events like this are a reminder that support comes in many forms, and that when organizations come together, we can help create healthier, stronger, and more connected communities.

Thank you again to all who attended, participated, and helped make the event such a success!

Thank you Almost Home, Inc. for hosting the wellness and networking event 🌹was good to see all the heart work being done...
