LIP PROGRESSION by PROFESSIONALS 🌸🌷
baseline (top photo) is before any lip filler.
middle photo is half syringe healed two weeks later.
bottom photo is after adding a full syringe to healed lips.
why did we do it this way?
first, often times patients can be nervous about doing “too much,” although we let patient know that she’d likely return to add more, she preferred starting with less. The ball was in her court.
We also don’t mind starting with half, even if we think you may want more because it gives us an opportunity to hydrate and prime the lips for more filler.
If there are more lip lines or lips are inverted, starting with a smaller amount can help tissue acclimate to filler before turning up the volume.
Once lips were primed, we were able to add a full syringe that resulted in a smoother, natural looking result. Keep in mind, swelling is present in bottom photo, and they will heal slightly smaller.
