It's Nurses Week, and our hearts are full!
To the incredible nurses of Shelby Healthcare, thank you. Thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, and every quiet moment in between. Thank you for the gentle hands, the patient hearts, and the way you make skilled medical care feel like home for the children and families you serve across Oklahoma.
You celebrate the milestones. You sit through the hard days. You become a trusted part of the family. The bond between a pediatric private duty nurse and the child they care for is something truly special, and we feel so lucky to witness it every single day.
Shelby Healthcare exists because of a little girl named Shelby and a belief that every child deserves exceptional care at home. Our nurses are the ones who carry that mission forward, one shift, one family, one child at a time.

We are proud to share Bethany Children’s Health Center’s Oklahoma Cerebral Palsy Conference. This marks the fourth year Shelby Healthcare has sponsored and participated in this event.

Our partnership with Bethany matters because many of the children we care for at home begin their journey there. The work happening inside their walls does not stop at discharge, and neither does ours.

Shelby Healthcare provides private duty nursing for medically complex children across Oklahoma, including many children living with cerebral palsy. We support families managing feeding tubes, respiratory equipment, seizures, mobility challenges, and daily therapies in the home.

One of the most meaningful conversations at this year’s conference centered around supporting families beyond clinical settings. That is why we continue expanding our Parent Family Caregiver Program. For families who qualify, a parent or trusted family member can be trained and paid to provide care. For many children with CP, consistency and familiarity are critical. This model protects that stability.

🌟 Weekend (and/or Saturday) Nurse Needed for Someone Truly Special 🌟

This is Daniel. He is 20 years old, has the sweetest smile, and has a loving family who is fully involved in his care. After a serious accident earlier this year, Daniel spent months in rehabilitation and has now returned home—where he is happiest.

Daniel cannot walk at this time. He does have some limitations with his speech, but is able to communicate verbally. He absolutely lights up when someone gives him interaction, encouragement, or even just sits with him.

He uses a G-Tube for medications and most meals, needs help with daily care, and is wheelchair-bound. He needs someone patient, kind-hearted, and dependable.

✨ Someone who wants to make a real difference in one young person’s life

Meet Zane — a bright, sweet 4-year-old who needs a Private Duty Nurse to join his care team on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for 10 or 12-hour shifts.

Zane has a trach and a GTube and receives all of his medications, hydration, and nutrition through his Mickey button. He’s able to walk with assistance, follow simple commands, and absolutely loves watching TV and singing songs! 🎶📺
