Isaiah 26:3 says, βYou will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace, for it is trusting in you.β
The process of surrender to have His peace is a constant for many struggling Christ followers. Paul encouraged us to βpray constantlyβ (1 Thess. 5:17); in the same way, we have to continually turn our eyes toward God and keep our minds dependent on Him. We cannot do this on our own; we need the Lord to sustain and provide for us! When we stop relying on our own strength and trust in the Lord to walk with us, there is freedom and, in turn, peace π
There is nothing too big or small to place at the Lordβs feet when we approach the throne of grace in prayer. He can handle our burdens, frustrations, and hardships. Most importantly, He can handle the messiness and make us whole again in Him!
This season, bring your worries to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to help you trust Him more fully with the things that weigh on you. Ask Him to help you experience the peace He promises in His Living Word.
May you walk in Godβs peace in the everyday moments of life and in the hardest seasons of life, both during advent and all year long ποΈ
