☀️ Happy World Breastfeeding Week ☀️
Over six years of my life were spent breastfeeding my precious boys. And let me tell you — while it’s beautiful, it’s not always easy. God truly gave me two completely different experiences, and both taught me so much.
🤍 What I’ve Learned
Every breastfeeding journey is different… and I learned that birth impacts breastfeeding.
Paxton’s birth had many interventions, leading to body tension and stress that affected our start. Calum’s birth was smooth, undisturbed… and so was breastfeeding. The contrast showed me how deeply connected it all is.
But most of all, I’ve learned that every experience I’ve had…the highs, the struggles, the lessons…has shaped the way I show up for the moms in my practice.
I’m more compassionate, more informed, and more present because of what I’ve walked through.
To every mama out there…whether your journey has been short or long, smooth or stormy, nursing or bottle-feeding…you are doing an incredible job.
It really does take a village, and I’m endlessly grateful for mine. 💛
