Meet our Director of Women's Firstep, Jamie!

Jamie has led with a steady confidence and a clear belief of the impact of Firstep. One of the most visible examples of this has been her work strengthening our partnerships - communicating why the therapeutic community model matters and how it truly changes lives.

We are so glad she is a part of the OKCMA team! 💙

This photo was taken during a recent outing to the First Americans Museum, and it perfectly captures why moments like these matter so much.

In this picture are men in all different stages of recovery and life. Some are brand new to Firstep, others are close to graduating. And yet here they are, showing up together, sharing space, building memories, and being part of something bigger than themselves.

Outings like this are about more than just a fun day. They create positive memories, strengthen unity, and remind our residents that they belong. That recovery doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in community.

We are incredibly grateful for volunteers like Michael Massey and for all the individuals, churches, and community partners who continue to pour into our residents with so much intention and care. You help make moments like this possible, and the impact reaches far beyond a single photo.

This is what togetherness looks like.

✨ This holiday season, hope looks like showing up. ✨

The holidays can be joyful, but they can also be hard, especially for those walking the path of recovery. At OKC Metro Alliance, our Firstep programs meet people right where they are, offering stability, dignity, and a real chance to rebuild.

As we close out the year, we’re inviting our community to partner with us in meaningful ways:

🎄 Your gift makes a real impact

$20 helps cover daily essentials

$50 provides brand-new clothes and personal items for a resident arriving with nothing

$150 feeds one resident for an entire month

$1,000 helps create outdoor seating spaces for visitation and connection

$1,500 completes a long-needed basketball goal at Men’s Firstep

We’re also welcoming donations of gym equipment and stackable chairs that support daily recovery work.

Beyond giving, we encourage extra kindness this season. Check in on someone. Invite connection. Offer patience and grace. Small acts of care can make a big difference.

❤️ Give hope today. Help rebuild a life.

Our goal is to increase sobriety, decrease incarceration, and recover lives. OKCMA exists to provide unique and accessible recovery programs for all who want it. Every donation, large or small, helps build recovery capital needed for ...

Our door decorating contest was a blast and Women’s Firstep came out on top! Along with gift cards and a pizza lunch, they got to choose someone to take a pie to the face… and they picked our awesome Men’s Firstep Assistant Director, Nicolas Byers.

He was such a great sport and even managed to pie a few others back. It was hilarious and such a good reminder of how lucky we are to have a team that works hard, loves big, and still knows how to have fun together.

Congrats to Women’s Firstep and shoutout to Nicolas for the laughs! 🎉🥧💙
