As we close out Black History Month, heres a bit of history on Rolfe Funeral Home
Established 1935 A Tradition of Excellence in Oklahoma City
For 91 years, Rolfe Funeral Home has stood as a pillar of dignity, leadership, and generational service in Oklahoma City.
The story begins with Robert H. Rolfe, a visionary entrepreneur who participated in the historic Land Run of 1889 and later built one of the largest broom factories in the Southwest. His commitment to economic growth, faith, and community empowerment laid the foundation for a lasting legacy. Education and progress were core family values, reflected in Anna Rolfe being part of the first graduating class of Douglas High School.
What began as Rolfe and Williams Funeral Home in 1935 soon became Rolfe Funeral Home, solidifying the family name in funeral service history. Robert H. Rolfe’s sons, Walter T. Rolfe, Henry R. Rolfe Sr., and John R. Rolfe Sr., joined the business and formally incorporated it, establishing a generational structure that continues today.
Through decades of change and growth, Rolfe Funeral Home has remained committed to professionalism, compassion, and service to the African American community and beyond.
As we celebrate 91 years of generational service in 2026, we continue forward under the leadership of
Mr. Jimmie D. Boldien, Jr., CFSP, CEO
Mrs. Joe Anna Sicard, President, Funeral Director/ Embalmer, Pre-Arrangement/Headstone Agent
Mr. Colin P. Boldien, Licensed Funeral Director and Chief Embalmer
Honoring the past. Serving the present. Building the future.
