The OKC County Health Department's OKC Mobile Market is bringing free fresh produce and pet food to various locations around the metro — and everyone is welcome!

✅ No ID required
✅ No proof of income needed
✅ Just show up and get what you need

📅 Events happen on the 1st–4th Fridays and the last Saturday of every month at rotating locations including libraries, clinics, and churches across the OKC area.

🛒 Find a stop near you and spread the word to friends, family, and neighbors who could use the extra support!

Meet Lily—our go-to helping hand in the OR and our Unsung Hero for July! Known for her kindness, dedication, and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed, Lily brings warmth (and often a warm blanket!) to everyone she works with. Her coworkers describe her as a “jack of all trades” whose attitude lights up the department.

When asked what inspires her, Lily said, “My passion for helping others and the supportive environment at work inspire me to bring my best self every day.”

🎆 Stay Safe This 4th of July! 🎆

As we celebrate with fireworks, cookouts, and outdoor fun, don’t forget to protect your body—especially your bones and joints! 🦴

From all of us at OCOM, here are a few orthopedic safety tips to keep your holiday injury-free:

🔥 Protect your hands – Fireworks can cause serious hand and finger injuries. Leave it to the professionals!

🥾 Watch your step – Wear supportive shoes and be mindful of uneven ground to avoid falls and sprains.

🍗 Grill safely – Keep a safe distance from hot surfaces and never leave a grill unattended.

💧 Stay hydrated – Heat and overexertion can cause joint swelling and fatigue. Take breaks in the shade and drink water often.

Help us celebrate Kelly Myers from Phase II, our June Unsung Hero! With nearly 12 years at OCOM, Kelly brings warmth, compassion, and a contagious spirit of fun to everything she does.

“I couldn't ask for a better team,” Kelly says. “We work hard and we have fun doing it.”

Kelly’s dedication to making patients feel like family truly reflects OCOM’s mission. Whether it’s caring for patients in Pain or Phase II, supporting coworkers, or keeping the energy high during busy shifts—Kelly’s heart is always at the center of her work.

Outside of work, Kelly stays just as busy and joyful—she’s a proud mom of three who keeps her family laughing. She enjoys camping trips, family game nights, and isn’t shy about getting competitive with her husband—especially when it comes to winning!
