We find a deep sense of purpose in helping a family feel seen, comforted, and cared for—that’s why we do what we do.
Every team member brings more than experience to the table—they bring heart.
In moments filled with uncertainty and emotion, we offer presence. We listen carefully, guide gently, and handle every detail with the kind of care we’d want for our own families.
It’s not just about arranging a service—it’s about honoring a life. And more than that, it’s about giving families space to breathe, reflect, and feel supported every step of the way.
Because behind every arrangement is a story. Behind every family is someone who matters.
And behind everything we do is a simple belief: every life deserves to be remembered with dignity and love.

Honoring the Heart of Service
This Labor Day, we celebrate the people whose dedication and compassion make a difference every single day.
We’re grateful for our teams who walk alongside families with kindness and care, and for all those who give their time and talents to serve others in meaningful ways.
Labor Day is more than a holiday—it’s a reminder of the value of hard work, the power of community, and the impact of service done with heart.
Today, we honor that spirit and wish you and your loved ones a safe, restful, and joyful holiday.

Areli Rios became a funeral director for one reason—to help people when they need it most.
At Advantage Funeral Home, she walks alongside families as they navigate loss, guiding them through every step with compassion and care.
To Areli, no two services are ever the same—because no two lives are.
Every person has a story worth honoring, and every family deserves the space to celebrate it in their own way.
From choosing cremation or burial to deciding how memories will be shared and preserved, Areli helps ensure every detail reflects what matters most: the life that was lived, and the love that remains.
Because at the heart of everything we do is a promise: to treat every family with dignity, and every life with the honor it deserves.

The most meaningful tributes often come from the heart—not a script.
Today, families are finding beautiful and personal ways to remember their loved ones.
Some create memory jars filled with handwritten stories.
Others build photo walls, release lanterns, or serve a favorite meal at a gathering.
One family even played their loved one’s favorite playlist during the service.
These moments may seem small, but they become lasting memories.
They remind us not just of how someone passed—but of how they lived.
There’s no “right” way to honor a life.
What matters most is choosing something that feels true, thoughtful, and full of love.
08/26/2025
A celebration of life doesn’t have to follow tradition—because no two lives are the same.
More families today are choosing services that reflect the personality, passions, and legacy of their loved one.
That might mean favorite music, vibrant colors, a table of cherished mementos, or a gathering in a special place.
Whether it's an intimate gathering or a larger community event, a celebration of life is about one thing: meaning.
It’s not just about saying goodbye—it’s about remembering how someone lived.
When you plan ahead, you can make sure your service reflects your story.
And when you're planning for a loved one, these choices become powerful tools for healing and remembrance.

In times of loss, it’s often not the grand gestures—but the quiet ones—that leave a lasting impression.
A steady voice on the phone.
A handwritten note.
A warm, reassuring presence in the room.
These small acts may seem simple, but for families navigating grief, they mean everything.
We believe that how we serve matters just as much as what we provide.
Compassion, patience, and presence—those are the things people remember.
If someone once supported you in a time of loss, you likely haven’t forgotten it.
That’s the kind of difference we aim to make every day.

When people ask why we do the work we do, the answer is simple: it's not just a job—it’s a calling.
Every day, we meet families in their most vulnerable moments.
We sit with them in silence, listen to their stories, and help them honor lives that meant everything.
That kind of work requires more than knowledge. It takes empathy, patience, and a deep commitment to care.
We’re here not just to guide, but to stand beside—through every detail, every conversation, every step.
It’s a privilege to serve, and we don’t take that lightly.
For us, this work is personal. Because every life deserves to be remembered with dignity and heart.

When words fall short, ritual helps us express what’s in the heart.
Rituals—large or small—give us a way to mark life’s most profound moments.
They help us slow down, create meaning, and begin the healing process.
For some, it’s lighting a candle at the same time each day.
For others, it’s playing a favorite song, planting a tree, or gathering to share stories.
These acts aren’t about formality—they’re about connection.
They remind us that love endures, even in loss.
Grief can feel overwhelming. Ritual offers structure, intention, and a place to begin.
If you’re walking through a season of loss, know that you don’t have to navigate it alone.
08/11/2025
Grief touches every part of us—not just emotionally, but physically and mentally too.
When navigating loss, even small steps toward wellness can make a meaningful difference.
Wellness doesn’t mean “moving on”—it means making space to care for yourself while honoring your grief.
Consider starting with:
– Drinking more water, even when you don’t feel like it
– Getting outside for fresh air and light movement
– Talking with someone who truly listens
– Writing down a few thoughts each day, even just a sentence or two
These may seem like small actions, but they create space for healing.
Everyone’s grief journey is different, but no one has to go through it alone.
Support can look like many things—and sometimes, it starts with simply being kind to yourself.

Most people say they intend to pre-plan. But common myths can sometimes stop them from actually doing it.
Let us help provide some clarity:
Myth: “I’m too young to think about this.”
Truth: Pre-planning isn’t about age—it’s about preparedness. Many people begin planning in their 40s or 50s to ensure their wishes are known and honored.
Myth: “It’s too expensive.”
Truth: Pre-planning allows you to lock in today’s prices and pay over time—often resulting in long-term savings for you and your family.
Myth: “My family knows what I want.”
Truth: Unless it's clearly documented, even the closest families can face uncertainty or conflict when decisions are left unspoken.
When you take the time to plan ahead, you’re not just arranging a service—you’re lifting a burden.
We’re here to help you understand your options and make confident, informed choices.
08/05/2025
What if one decision today could make things profoundly easier for your family tomorrow?
That’s what pre-planning does. It allows you to make thoughtful, personal decisions in advance, without pressure or emotion clouding the moment.
When the time comes, your loved ones won’t be left wondering what you would have wanted. They’ll know.
They’ll also have the freedom to focus on what matters most: remembering and celebrating your life.
– Clarity of your wishes
– Relief from difficult decisions during grief
– The ability to lock in today’s prices
– A meaningful legacy of care and consideration
We understand these aren’t easy conversations. But they’re some of the most important.
When you’re ready, we’re here to help you take the first step—with compassion, not pressure.
07/29/2025
Pre-planning your funeral isn’t about focusing on the end — it’s about making meaningful decisions that reflect your life, your values, and your love for those you’ll leave behind.
When you choose to pre-plan, you’re doing more than selecting burial or cremation. You’re easing the emotional and financial burden on your family. You’re choosing music, readings, or traditions that matter to you. You’re deciding whether you want a quiet reflection, a spirited celebration, or something entirely your own. And you’re giving your loved ones the precious gift of clarity — at a time when they’ll need it most.
Pre-planning is also a chance to protect your finances. It can lock in today’s prices and create a written record that ensures your wishes are honored exactly as you intend.
Every detail tells a story. Pre-planning helps make sure that your story is shared with care, compassion, and dignity. If you’ve been thinking about it but haven’t taken the first step, we’re here to walk beside you — with no pressure, just thoughtful guidance.
Your life deserves to be remembered your way. Let’s start the conversation.

Centrally located on South Pennsylvania Avenue in Oklahoma City, right off I-240, Advantage South specializes in helping create meaningful and dignified funerals. Whether you are planning in advance for yourself or need to plan a loved one’s service immediately, we work with you to respect your faith, culture and budget. Advantage offers an alternative to traditional funeral homes by making the arrangement process affordable and easy to understand, without sacrificing high quality or care.
Recently remodeled, the funeral home chapel has flexible seating for about 100 guests as well as space for catered events. We accommodate traditional religious funerals, cremation memorials and contemporary celebrations alike. We can help you create a tribute video to show during a service, arrange for catering (from a breakfast buffet to cake and coffee to a full sit-down dinner), and secure a police es**rt for the procession to the cemetery. We are experienced with culturally specific funerals and take care of all the details so that the service you plan is a reflection of your traditions and beliefs.
Authentic Services
The Advantage team is expert at helping families make selections that meet their needs. That means that whether you want a basic cremation, a traditional funeral at the funeral home with a simple graveside service, or a celebration of life, we know just what to do to make it special. Our certified funeral celebrants can also help families add a personal touch to any service. At Advantage, you can plan a funeral or cremation memorial that’s expressive but not expensive.
Cremation Options In OKC
Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you’re interested in cremation, the funeral home team can explain the process and the different memorial and burial choices. From a simple cremation without a service or a witness, to a full funeral service before or after the cremation, you can select from affordable packages to meet your needs.
For families who choose the time-honored tradition, our full-service funeral home uses a private crematory dedicated to the Dignity Memorial® network. This allows us to have complete control of a cremation from start to finish and means your loved one never leaves our care or the care of our affiliates. The crematory has a cremation viewing suite, should your family wish to arrange a witness ceremony.
Your loved one’s urn can be picked up at the funeral home or someone from our team can deliver it to your home. You may also request delivery by U.S. mail.
Simplified Packages
To make a difficult time easier, Advantage offers straightforward burial and cremation packages for a range of budgets. You’ll start by choosing a set of services, and then selecting the merchandise option that best fits your needs. Options are clearly outlined for you—and there’s never any pressure to purchase more than you need.
