Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentration of platelets derived from a small amount of a patient’s own blood. PRP therapy is a medical treatment that utilizes this concentrated plasma to promote healing and tissue regeneration. The process involves drawing the patient’s blood, processing it to increase the concentration of platelets, and then injecting it back into the targeted area, such as an injured tendon or ailing joint. Platelets are rich in growth factors and other proteins that aid in the body’s natural healing processes. PRP therapy is commonly used in sports medicine, orthopedics, and to enhance recovery, reduce pain, and improve overall tissue health.

HA injections can be administered to joints, such as the knees, to alleviate pain and improve mobility in conditions like osteoarthritis. The procedure is generally considered safe, with minimal side effects, and can offer relief that typically lasts several months.
