SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital unveiled its latest robotic surgery platform recently, allowing employees and visitors to take the system for a spin as a "test drive" in a simulated surgical environment. The hospital has acquired the da Vinci 5® surgical system, designed to further advance technology used in minimally-invasive care, and it's the first hospital in OKC to provide this technology for its patients. KOCO 5 News' Meghan Mosley tried her hand at operating the robot and talked with our surgeons Dr. Mohammad Ramadan and Dr. Jared Lepley about the benefits for our patients. Watch:

Congrats to Mikayla Cornelius, RN, Emergency Department, SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital, for being honored recently with the DAISY award!

Mikayla was voted as a DAISY award winner and nominated by one of her patients. Team members surprised Mikayla in the emergency department and awarded her with a certificate, a banner for their unit, the "Healer's Touch Sculpture," and cinnamon rolls. Each item represents a different element of the DAISY award.
