Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Boyd Shook, the founder of Fundación Manos Juntas.

Dr. Shook believed that health care is a right, not a privilege. That belief became the foundation of Manos Juntas and continues to guide the clinic today.

Through his leadership, compassion, and commitment to service, Dr. Shook built something extraordinary. What began as a small effort to serve patients without access to care has grown into a community of volunteer physicians, students, and supporters working together to ensure our neighbors receive the care they deserve.

Every patient seen, every prescription filled, and every volunteer trained carries forward the vision he started.

Today, on his birthday, we honor Dr. Shook by continuing the work he cared so deeply about.

Thank you, Dr. Shook, for the legacy you left our community.

This fall, Manos Juntas is busier than ever. Every Saturday, our volunteer physicians and students provide free medical care, lab work, and medications to hundreds of Oklahomans who have nowhere else to go.

We rely entirely on donations and community partnerships — there are no paid staff, no billing, just people coming together to make health care accessible for all.

We’re currently seeking:
💙 Supporters — individuals, businesses, and organizations who can help sustain our work through donations or sponsorships.

🤝 Ambassadors — community members who can help share our mission and connect us with others who believe that health care is a right, not a privilege.

As we approach the end of the year, we want to take a moment to thank all of our patients, volunteers, and supporters who have made 2024 a year of care and community. Your trust and dedication inspire us every day.

Please note that Manos Juntas Free Clinic will be CLOSED on Saturday, December 28th to allow our team a well-deserved break. We will reopen at our regular hours on Saturday, January 4th, 2025.
