We’re proud to share that Oklahoma Heart Hospital recently implanted our 50th CCM Optimizer — a meaningful milestone in caring for patients with heart failure. This minimally invasive device delivers precisely timed electrical signals to help the heart pump more effectively, which helps improve daily life for advanced heart failure patients who have limited treatment options. Implanting this highly specialized device is one way that OHH is Serving the State, Leading the Nation.

Oklahoma Heart Hospital Electrophysiologist Dr. Mark Harvey Receives National Award

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Names Dr. Harvey winner of the Big Dream Honor for 2025

Longtime Oklahoma Heart Hospital cardiac electrophysiologist Dr. Mark Harvey has been named the winner of the 2025 Big Dream award from the national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for his work fighting the genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and pancreas.

In honoring Dr. Harvey, the Foundation noted, “Dr. Harvey brings both professional excellence and personal conviction to his work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. His family’s journey with the disease inspired a lifelong commitment to help those living with CF not only survive – but thrive.”

Two of his three adult children live with cystic fibrosis and have benefited greatly from recently discovered advances in treatments. Dr. Harvey founded the Harvey Family Foundation and uses its resources in a targeted, strategic philanthropic plan to support scientific discovery and lasting change that extends beyond the current treatments available to help CF patients live longer and fuller lives.

Despite groundbreaking advances in the genetics of the disease, patients are facing evolving challenges across multiple organ system requiring ongoing innovation and collaboration.

“I believe the true impact of his work is measured in the lives we strengthen and the futures we help build,” commented Dr. Harvey. The CF Foundation Dream Big award is given annually to someone who had made a monumental difference in the fight against CF.
