Hello! I’m Mary and often I get asked “what made you want to become a doula?” I was drawn to becoming a birth doula when I learned the maternal mortality rate for black women. I knew I wanted to do something about this and the first step I chose was becoming an advocate...a birth doula. I bring 1 year of heartfelt service to my role as your birth doula. I am trained through DONA International and have attended numerous births. My experience has taught me how to effectively support moms so they can truly enjoy this special chapter. I don't just focus on providing support during labor; I take a holistic approach that includes nurturing you, the mother. Motherhood is not a solo act—it takes a supportive community, and I aim to be a valuable part of yours.
