I pray this note finds you well. My name is Dan Cross, and I have served for decades in both ministry and clinical practice, helping individuals and families struggling with life-controlling problems. Out of that journey, I have written a new book, Thorn in My Flesh: A Biblical Theology for Ministry & Clinical Practice for Life-Controlling Problems, what are termed addictions of various kinds.
This book seeks to integrate biblical truth with practical guidance for pastors, lay leaders, counselors, and support groups who serve people walking through addiction, trauma, and other resistant life situations. Drawing from Scripture, clinical insights, and years of personal experience, it provides:
