At Epworth Villa, honoring those who have served is a cherished tradition.

This week, resident and talented quilter Darlene Badgett created and presented a beautiful Patriotic Quilt of Honor to fellow resident Dean Stringer. Dean proudly served in the U.S. Army and spent 10 years serving stateside with the Oklahoma National Guard, achieving the rank of Major.

Darlene’s craftsmanship and heartfelt dedication made this moment especially meaningful.

We are grateful for Dean’s service and for the way our residents continue to celebrate and uplift one another.

Sew Many Blessings at Epworth Villa

At Epworth Villa, creativity and community go hand in hand. Our Sew Many Blessings quilting group recently gathered for an afternoon of inspiration, storytelling, and service.

Resident Carol S. shared her passion for quilting — displaying some of her intricate pieces and speaking about her experiences in quilt shows and contests. Fellow residents also showcased their own creations, each quilt representing memories, skill, and love stitched into every seam.

The highlight of the meeting came when Darlene B. unveiled two patriotic quilts that the group made to honor our veterans. These quilts will be presented to two veterans during our Veterans Day Celebration — a meaningful tribute to those who’ve served our country.

The Sew Many Blessings group has set an incredible goal: 43 quilts by Christmas — and they’re already more than halfway there!

At Epworth Villa, we’re proud to celebrate residents who use their talents to uplift others and create lasting connections.

Students from Scissortail Edmond Elementary brought Halloween cheer to Epworth Villa with a festive parade through our community! Residents and staff joined in the fun—handing out candy and sharing smiles. These intergenerational moments remind us how meaningful connections across generations can be. 💜
