We got a call from EMSA to come pick up a little girl. Her mom found her dad unresponsive in the bathroom. We walked up the stairs & she came running to us, smiling ear to ear. We arenโt strangers to her. We have known this sweet family since she was 6 months old (when her mom needed diapers & formula). If she didnโt know about us, that little girl would have seen them take her fatherโs body out. This mom was upset. She wasnโt able to care for her daughter in that moment. These are moments we exist for. We canโt thank you enough for making this possible for these families & allowing us to be their support system.
There is so much evil in the world. This last week has been so tough on everyone. We know itโs so hard to process & has left everyone feeling very uneasy. We believe in showing more love during these times. People need to see our kindness more now than ever. The demands and requests keep increasing & we could put a limit on the number of times a family could utilize this, reduce the number of diapers we give each family (we are the only organization that gives a months worth), but this isnโt okay with us. We donโt want babies sitting in diapers all day because their parents donโt have money for them. We have to fill in a lot of gaps & provide more assistance each month. We are able to do so because of so many coming together, giving a little, to make change in our city (& surrounding).
We have 83 families still waiting on us for diapers & we are completely out of size 4, 5 & pull-ups (all sizes). We still have 13 more baby bags to make (babies being born within the next few days or are already here with nothing at all). We need to do more & scaling back on our services is not an option. They need our support, & we need yours.
If you are able, we need financial help this month, diapers (size 4-6) & pull-ups (all sizes). We also desperately need Similac advance (360 total care, blue can). We are helping a lot of new moms leaving the hospital with no formula for several days until they can get their wic set up. We have our wishlist listed below. We order formula (or pick up in person) from Walmart typically. You can have it delivered to us through their app/website at our location (2524 Nw 52nd St. Oklahoma City, Ok 73112).

If you are pregnant, know someone who is & youโre wanting to help them, please reach out very close to due date. We canโt help past one month out. Please specify what all is needed (detailed is much easier/background of situation helps us to prepare & what to put with it).

Baby items (or any items on our list) can be gently used, doesnโt have to be brand new! Just no stains or holes please. Anytime during the day on the porch is great! 7 days a week. Dark grey house with a light blue door. We ask that you put on the porch if possible & leave the brick wall for outgoing. If itโs not full of diapers, etc with names on them, feel free to though! Black trailer is usually in the drive. Feel free to pull up in the drive way to unload.
