Not everything clicks right away. That's the point.
There was a technique I introduced early in the program that required more coordination than most β the kind of move where your hands, your body weight, and your intention all have to arrive at the same time. Some students got close quickly. Others just couldn't get there, and I could feel the frustration in the room. I kept teaching it. Session after session, a little more fluent, a little less tense. By the end, they'd learned the technique β but more than that, they'd learned how to learn something hard. That struggle is not the obstacle to learning. It is learning.
Save this for the next time a student (or you) wants to give up on something hard.
