Years ago when I was learning to do a headstand, my son said these words to me.

Little did he know, he wasn’t only speaking into my yoga practice. He was speaking over my entire life.

Fear can be so stagnating. It’s keeps us from rising to our full potential. Fear leads to regret. Falling is definitely scary, but there’s always a lesson in the fall. Take the lesson and get up better. Commit to your win.

One of the most important aspects of yoga is your breathing. Deep, intentional breathing requires presence and focus. It calms your nervous system and brings awareness to self. It’s healing. Breathing is the first thing we do when we enter this world and the last thing we do before we leave.

A few years ago I got this tattoo on the inner part of my left arm, close to my heart. It’s an ancient Sanskrit symbol that symbolizes our life force or our breath. For me, when life becomes overwhelming, its a beautiful reminder to, just breathe. 🧘🏾‍♀️
