This post has been a long time coming… because it has been somewhat difficult to accept. It is the end of a chapter in my life that was such a blessing to me in more ways than I can count. 🙏🏼
After more than a year battle with breast cancer, and all the hardships and blessings that came from that battle, I am officially closing The Nest OKC 4D Ultrasound. I was blessed with 6 amazing years of working with beautiful Mamas, Families, Babies, and Providers all over Oklahoma. My goal was to provide a more compassionate, accessible, and affordable diagnostic experience. A means of bringing women together in understanding and families together through the use of technology.
💗“Womens Care With A Womans Touch.”💗
That was the motto that I lived by, because I felt like women’s healthcare needed a woman’s touch; a gentle strength, a compassionate experience, and a womanly understanding of women’s physical and emotional needs in a healthcare setting. I was overwhelmed with the response and how this business was received in my hometown. It was obvious that it was a need that hadn’t been filled. I am thankful that, through the lifetime of my business, other registered sonographers also saw the need for this and took the time and effort to start their own studios to help fill this need within their own communities, offering even more women-owned options for Oklahoma women and families! Women empowering women: what a concept!💪🏼
Through the beginning stages of my business, I came across an amazing ultrasound manufacturer and took a leap of faith to try a new ultrasound machine that I had never heard or seen before: the Chison Sonobook 9. This was the beginning of an amazing relationship and friendship directly with the factory in China and gave me the opportunity to help other sonographers and doctors across the USA purchase and import these ultrasound machines to use within their own practices! I was even asked to make a promotional video for this machine for the factory (I’ll attach the YouTube link below)! I have been blessed to work with many sonographers from coast to coast with their purchase and teaching them how to utilize this particular ultrasound machine to the best of its ability, as well as coaching them through their purchase on getting their own business up and running!
In this new season, I have also been blessed to begin working full time as a breast sonographer, using my personal experience with breast cancer to hopefully continue giving that compassionate care to other women facing the prospect of that same battle. It has been such a fulfilling and therapeutic experience for me. It has also allowed me to provide amazing and affordable health insurance for myself and my entire family, which was something we weren’t previously able to do, since my husband and I were both self-employed. So, after a year of paying for very expensive medical bills, I am thankful that I can help relieve some of that burden on my family and help provide for them in that way.
To conclude, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your support and encouragement of this business and of me as a person. Your support and appreciation of my work got me through many hard days. This is a community that I love and I always will. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. 🫶🏼
