Yesterday, a fellow MT and I were talking about how we never feel like we have to “go to work” because we love what we do so much.
For me, it’s such a rewarding feeling to have someone walk into my room & not be able to move a certain way, and walk out feeling like a whole new person with range of motion they never thought they would have again. Or pain that they’ve lived with for years that all of a sudden just isn’t there. It’s rewarding to see how emotional people get when they FINALLY feel good for the first time in a long time. All because they trusted me. I was able to help them.
I truly love what I do and I wish for everyone to be able to find the therapist that works with/for them in their healing journey. If you have never given massage a try, please do. If you try it and think “it was alright” then that means the therapist you worked with just isn’t for you. Keep looking. You will know when you’ve found the one for you. It can be so life changing!
When we talk about massage being self care, it isn’t because you get to pamper yourself. It’s because you’re literally taking care of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body all in one session. Which, you all deserve! Massage can do wonders for one’s mental health. We are muscle whisperers who know what the tissues want. We are fascia wizards who can unwind the most stubbornly stuck connective tissues, with care and compassion. Meeting the tissues where they’re at & allowing them to let go in their own time. We do all of this for you because it is what brings us the most joy.

I am blessed and grateful for all of you. To those who have worked w/ me, those who will in the future, and who those who are simply at the beginning of their healing journey. Thank you. Without all of you, there would be no “Us” in this line of work. 🙏🏼♥️

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a technique used by applying pressure to a specific point on the hands, feet or ears. These points each corporate to a specific area/organ of the body, stimulating the area to aid in the body’s natural healing process. This can help reduce pain, induce relaxation & restore homeostasis to the body. You may find that the points correlating to certain areas are tender if there are any issues with that specific area of the body. For example: stimulating the point for the lungs on the foot might be tender for someone with asthma, the point for the uterus might be tender for a woman menstruating, or the point for the hip or shoulder might be tender if one has had a previous injury to that area.

Reflexology is a great way to help keep things functioning properly.
