Check out this incredible patient testimony below! We are so proud of Mr. Green and our team! 🥳
"My name is Brady Green. I have retired from a career as a Sales Manager over a team of Auto and Home insurance agents. I come from a family of 3 older sisters and 1 younger brother. Though we don’t live in close proximity to each other, we have a strong bond that was encouraged by our mother who inspired all of us with her eternal optimism all the way up to her death from cancer just over 17 years ago.
I needed rehab after a serious car accident during which I was rear-ended, and the impact of that forced me off the road into a field, straight into a large tree. I suffered 2 fractures of the right femur: one at the hip and one at mid-thigh. On the left leg, I had 4 fractures in my foot. Also, most of my ribs were broken. As a result, I had traction and then surgery in which a metal rod was inserted and attached to my femur from hip to knee on the right leg. I got a splint on my left foot and was told I couldn’t bear weight on that foot for at least 8 weeks.
The people involved in my rehab were nothing short of remarkable. Several times I became frustrated and down on myself because I couldn’t even come to a half stand from a seated position. They were so encouraging, informative and simply kind every step of the way. The rehab process involved exercises that had a functional component. For instance, they showed me how strengthening my leg would help me eventually stand at a walker and pivot to a wheelchair or a recliner in my home. I could see the reason behind everything we worked on and how that would translate to good function in my home.
The services provided by these wonderful professionals gave me a boost I needed to take action and overcome what seemed to be insurmountable hurdles in my path to recovery. But they kept me focused on the finish line and on my daily progress.
I am grateful to God that he heard my prayers and strengthened me. I also would sincerely like to recognize my physical therapist, Abbey, and my occupational therapist, Amy. They are 2 of the most caring individuals you will ever meet. And wow, they knew their stuff! They were able to quickly pinpoint strengths and weaknesses and set me on the most effective path to recovery possible. I cannot say enough about their skill and compassion. Outstanding work, ladies!
What am I looking forward to in the future? John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans.” I’m grateful to be alive after the accident I had. I’m looking forward to appreciating the little things, the small moments that make life worthwhile instead of rushing to put some great life plan together. I want to enjoy life as it comes, savoring victories, learning from defeats, and getting a little better each day."
