This week at The Mansion at Waterford, we pause to celebrate and honor the incredible nurses who are at the heart of everything we do, and this year's theme says it all: The Power of Nurses™.

That power shows up every single day in the dedication, compassion, and expertise our nurses bring to work, often in the most demanding and high-stakes moments imaginable. Their commitment to caring for others is nothing short of remarkable.

To our nurses: thank you! Thank you for the early mornings and late nights. Thank you for the steady hands, the calm voices, and the warm presence you bring to residents and families when they need it most. Thank you for going above and beyond, time and time again, without hesitation.

You are the backbone of this organization, and we are deeply grateful for everything you do. The power you bring to this team, and to every resident you interact with, does not go unnoticed.

Who says art class means finger painting?

This morning, our residents explored the beautiful contrast of white charcoal on black paper, sketching coffee mugs complete with wisps of rising steam. Guided by Sheila from Arts Council Oklahoma City, the class dove into real artistic techniques like shading, smudging and using black charcoal to deepen shadows and bring their pieces to life.

The results? Stunning. Every single one of them.

At The Mansion at Waterford, we believe creativity doesn't have an age limit, and neither should the opportunity to develop real artistic skills. From charcoal techniques to composition fundamentals, our residents aren't just staying busy, they're growing as artists.
