Align & Flow Align & Flow Studio is a healing space led by Melissa, a Certified Spinal Flow Practitioner and Neurogenic Yoga teacher.

Her work focuses on nervous system regulation, gentle movement, and the body’s natural ability to heal. Through my own healing journey, I have found methods and modalities that are powerful allies in helping people feel better in their bodies. Each time I have chosen to study these modalities and share them with other people. I have a passion to help people feel better and move better.

How Spinal Flow Can Help Your Pelvic Floor 🤍

Most people think pelvic floor issues are just about the pelvic floor…

But it’s bigger than that.

👉 Your ribcage + pelvis need to be able to stack and move together

When the ribcage is flared or the pelvis is tucked/shifted:
• pressure doesn’t distribute well
• the pelvic floor takes on more load
• things start to feel tight, weak, or both

That’s the biomechanical side.

But here’s the deeper piece…

👉 Your nervous system may be holding tension (guarding)

If your body doesn’t feel safe:
• it grips
• it holds
• it doesn’t let go

No amount of “strengthening” fixes that.

I hear this all the time.

But that’s like saying…
“I’m not strong enough to lift weights, so I won’t start.”

👉 You don’t start flexible.
👉 You don’t start strong.
👉 You just start.

Yoga isn’t about twisting yourself into crazy shapes.

It’s about:
• learning your body
• building foundational strength
• improving mobility (over time)
• and regulating your nervous system

Honestly, the people who feel the least flexible usually benefit the most.

There is always a starting point — and it can be way more gentle and supportive than you think.
