Join us in wishing Amey a very happy 10th anniversary with 180 Medical this month. We’re so grateful for the dedication, care, and experience she brings every day. In her honor, we’re donating to a cause close to her heart, 405 Animal Rescue.
She shared, “In February 2024, I picked up two large dogs, a husky and a husky mix, who were running along the side of the freeway near our neighborhood. At first, I was certain they belonged to someone nearby, but over the following days and weeks, it became clear that no one was looking for them.
At the time, we were not prepared to take on two large dogs. I had started chemotherapy just a couple of months earlier and was scheduled for major surgery. It was an incredibly overwhelming period. 405 Animal Rescue was the only local rescue willing to accept the dogs into their program, provided we could foster them. They coordinated everything, spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, adoption events, and promotion across their social media platforms. We worked closely with them to try to find a home where the dogs could stay together, as they were extremely bonded. 405 Animal Rescue fully supported that goal.
In the end, the dogs, Samson and Delilah, found the perfect home together…OURS! While we technically foster-failed, having 405’s support during such a difficult and uncertain time removed an enormous amount of stress and made it possible for us to keep these dogs safe, cared for, and together.”
