Argentum members are invited to participate in the stakeholder review of the proposed Emergency Preparedness Guidelines for Assisted Living Communities, developed by the Quality in Assisted Living Collaborative (QALC).

Over the past year, QALC’s industry experts have worked diligently to craft these guidelines, and now we’re seeking your feedback to ensure the final version meets the needs of our communities.

We are so glad we were able to celebrate Charlotte on her 100th birthday! Homestead of Kingfisher threw her an amazing party and brought in some special guests: Patrick Gaines, Senator Jech, a goat, and a bunny! Charlotte wanted to share a word of advice to everyone which is to “just keep breathing.” We would love to honor your centenarian residents! We are on policy watch as The Senate Finance Committee has released a draft of its reconciliation legislative package with a few key highlights:

➡️ No direct cuts to Medicaid waiver programs

➡️ Potential new tax deductions for people 65 and older and for caregivers and staff who frequently work overtime

➡️ A new Low Income Housing Tax Credit that could increase the number of afforadbale senior living communities

Argentum remains deeply engaged in the reconciliation process and continues to work with Congressional leaders to ensure that the needs of assisted living communities are both understood and prioritized.
