Hearts for Hearing is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jourdan Holder, Au.D., PhD, as Senior Director of Audiology and Research. In this newly created leadership role, Holder will provide clinical and research leadership across audiology services with a focus on advancing evidence-based care and improving outcomes for children and adults with hearing loss. Since everyone is posting their 2016 throwbacks, here's ours! 2016 was a big year for Hearts for Hearing. We opened the doors to our Hefner Parkway building, celebrated 9 years of Fashion for a Passion with the women of Chi Omega, hosted another successful summer camp with "Moving to Midtown" as the theme, and more. It was a wonderful year of growth and community.

Fast forward to 2026, and we're incredibly grateful to be close to opening an expansion of that same building, adding 30,800 sq ft of new space. What started as a dream in 2016 continues to grow alongside the individuals we serve. We are so incredibly grateful for those who have continued to support us and our mission to help individuals with hearing loss listen for a lifetime.🦻🏼🩵

Under IRS guidelines, the “mailbox rule” applies to contributions sent via USPS: a gift is considered made on the date shown on the postmark. If USPS doesn’t process an envelope until January 1 or later, the postmark could indicate the new tax year – even if the donor mailed it on or before December 31.

Potential options for donors who want to make a donation via check –

Request a hand-stamped postmark at the USPS counter to ensure the actual mailing date is recorded

Purchase postage at the counter, where printed labels include the correct acceptance date

Use certified or registered mail, which provides official evidence of the mailing date
