Say hello to Judy! (And trust us — she’ll kindly remind you not to call her “Mrs. Armstrong”!)
Judy joined us on December 18 and returned home on January 31, and in that short time, she left a lasting mark on everyone at Highland Park. From the moment she arrived, Judy greeted everyone each morning in the therapy gym with a radiant smile and an unwaveringly positive attitude — no matter the challenge in front of her.
Her encouragement lifted the spirits of our staff and her fellow residents as well. Judy was often cheering others on, reminding everyone around her that progress is possible. With the incredible and consistent support of her family, she stayed motivated, grateful, and focused on her goals every single day.
When Judy first came to us, she was completely dependent on a caregiver. Today, we’re proud to share that she walked out our front door using her walker and got into the car unassisted — a powerful testament to her determination and the impact of dedicated rehabilitation.
Judy is heading home stronger, more independent, and with several new friends she made along the way. While we already miss her presence in the therapy gym, we are so grateful to have been part of her journey. Thank you, Judy. It was truly an honor to care for you! ❤️
