Our practice offers a broad range of care including preventive and restorative services, orthodontics, sedation and hospital dentistry, as well as laser procedures. Our patient population includes infants, children, adolescents and patients of all ages who have special health care needs.
We are seeking a quality-minded dental assistant and team member with excellent interpersonal and clinical skills who enjoys creating an environment that builds strong relationships with patients and their parents. Duties:
- Assist the dentist chairside during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and update patient medical records
- Assist with dental lab tasks
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with dental documentation systems such as SoftDent, Dolphin and iTero
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
