This beautiful bride came to see me for something that bothered her. She felt that the shadow by her nose was the only thing she could see when smiling or at rest.

It is important for me to tell you that you must remain looking like you. In the world of aesthetics we chase shadows. But even a perfectly round object will have a shadow depending on lighting. Filling the face with filler is an art. It must be subtle and natural looking in my opinion.

Here I minimized the shadow by her nose by placing filler in a couple places. Areas that needed minimal volume to restore the youthfulness to change the shadow back to the way she remembered.

We love to have fun…. But the one thing that is most important to us is YOUR SAFETY.

Here you will see a syringe that has blood in it. You may ask why, how, what does that mean?

Our concerns and risks with any dermal filler is a vascular occlusion. Filler in a vessel. We study our anatomy, we use ultrasound, we do whatever we can to dodge those vessels when we inject. We check and here we rechecked and aspirated to make sure we weren’t in a vessel….. but we were. Everyone is safe because of the measures we take.

Does this make a bad injector if you have had a vascular occlusion? Absolutely NOT! It is about a few things… trusting your provider to help handle these situations, knowing your provider has educated and implemented safety precautions. But the face is like a web of vessels, the great Dr Rajani says it isn’t a matter of if it happens, it is a matter of when it happens to make sure the right team is who is treating you.
