Meet Dolly, our sweet 10-week-old Great Dane puppy with a big heart, big paws and an even bigger purpose. Our nursing home residents have already fallen in love with her, and we believe she’s meant to bring joy, comfort, and healing as a certified therapy dog.
To make that dream a reality, Dolly needs to attend a special therapy dog training program—but we need your help to get her there!
The program we have chosen is through Dog Training Elite in Kansas City. This company comes highly recommended and has specially designed a program just for Dolly. Her training will include puppy training, obedience training, group stimulation training, and therapy dog training. Once completed (within 6-9 months) Dolly will qualify to take her Therapy Dog test, which we know she will pass with flying colors! After she passes her test, these trainers will work with her for the rest of her life with no additional charge.
Your donation will help cover the cost of her training and ensure she’s ready to brighten lives, reduce loneliness, and bring unconditional love to the elderly residents who need her most.
