IOP Client Testimonial: Renew saved me. It altered my brain chemistry. It was my safe haven, home away from home, and me time all in one. The skills I have learned are insurmountable and it’s too the point where I don’t think I can think any other way. Acceptance, defusion, mindfulness, values, and the hexaflex are so embedded that they have become part of me. It got me through the loss of a beloved pet, my dad’s sickness, my own health issues, and many other external factors out of my control.

I feel like I can breathe again, like I can relax, and actually participate in my life instead of fearing every second. My panic and anxiety attacks, OCD, and all of my other little quirks have subsided, but not by coincidence. I was so intentional with healing every single day and will be for the rest of my life because recovery isn’t linear. Will I have panic and anxiety again? Definitely. That isn’t the part that changed. Heck, on the way here we had a storm and I thought this is my final test but quickly remembered that this is practice.

Am I scared? Yeah, terrified honestly. But I know that my skills and this program were put on my path for a reason by God and as long as I have my values, I am home. Speaking of home and renew being my home away from home - I became my own home, something I craved for so long.

For those considering, I would say to take the leap of faith and choose recovery. You will flourish, struggle, question, and learn here, but most importantly you will heal.

The people here have made this such a sweet welcome and an incredibly bittersweet goodbye. I finally found people who understood me, clapped for me, acknowledged me, and laughed with me. I truly don’t know what I would have done without this community and the practitioners who saved my life. You will find that here too and more. I couldn’t recommend this place or these people enough.
