🦠 COVID-19 vaccine guidance is evolving—and we know it’s confusing.

First, the FDA has approved updated vaccines for Fall 2025, but only for those at higher risk:
✔️ Adults 65+
✔️ Children and non-pregnant adults with underlying health conditions

Meanwhile, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) is expected to meet soon to finalize recommendations — but recent changes to the committee have raised concerns about transparency and scientific rigor.

That’s why trusted medical organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and others have stepped up with their own evidence-based guidance.

The AAP continues to recommend COVID-19 vaccines for:
👶 All children ages 6–23 months
👧 Older children who are unvaccinated, at high risk, or live with someone who is

Pediatric Partners plans to offer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to those who want it, but there are still many MANY questions. See the carousel for details.

Say hello to Lisa, one of our amazing Phone Nurses who works out of our Olathe Clinic! 💙

Lisa’s favorite part of her job is the incredible second family she’s gained over the years. She brings warmth, laughter, and care to both patients and coworkers, making her such a special part of our team. 💛

✨ Fun facts about Lisa:
✅ First job? Washing hair and sweeping floors at a hair salon. 💇‍♀️
✅ Most adventurous thing she’s done? Hiked 3 miles up a dormant volcano in Costa Rica! 🌋
✅ Dream vacation? The Maldives. 🌴
✅ Bucket list? Visiting a childhood friend who runs a primate rescue in South Africa 🐒
✅ Weekend favorite? Renovating her 1910 home and bringing it back to life. 🏡
✅ Favorite snack? Chips and salsa (but if Espinaca is on the table, watch out! 😋)
✅ Pet love? She has a Shiba Inu named Minnie, aka “Moo.” 🐾

I will get a long weekend to rest up before the calls come in due to sickness caught during holiday travel, but some of my coworkers are there today for our regular Saturday hours.

Today may be very calm because everyone already gone out of town, or just as crazy as yesterday. You never know on Saturdays of holiday weekends!
