This precious little peanut was born in the comfort of her own home on her due date (how polite of her ;) ) after she and her mama labored very long and so beautifully together. This family was such a joy to work with from start to finish - the trust they had in the Lord every step of the way was so beautiful to witness. It’s always such a gift when dads are so involved and this one was right by his wife’s side every step of the way. Congratulations, “W” family on your sweet girl! 🤍

P.S. She wins the award for the tiniest Well Doula baby to date!

Motherhood is learned by doing. There are things you can do to make the transition easier, of course, but no one knows YOU and YOUR baby better than YOU! Trust that the Lord has equipped you to be the best mama for your baby and you WILL look back one day and be so proud of how you’ve grown as a mama.

This family was referred to Angela at about 36 weeks from a friend and thankfully we had a little wiggle room to serve her! She had an amazing provider but also some flags popping up to indicate that induction was the best option for mom & baby. It was such an honor to walk with them through a long labor with lots of decisions along the way and to come alongside her incredibly respectful OB and nurses who did everything in their power to protect her ability to have a VBAC.

In the end she DID get her VBAC (👏🏼) and one of my favorite moments with them was hearing dad, just a minute after their son was born, say “I don’t know how people say that God isn’t real!?”. We agree, birth really is such an incredible witness of God’s perfect design! Congratulations, “M” family! It was a joy to serve you!

She did it!!! 👏

This mama did all of the hard work to prepare for a VBAC… selected her team to ensure support, focused on her own mind and body preparedness (even had to do aaaaall the things to get this breech baby to flip 🙃) and waited so patiently for labor to start on its own, when baby was ready.

I think she really surprised herself when she showed up to the hospital at 4cm and had baby in her arms less than 3 hours later! Some of her first words were “now THAT was redemptive!”… which made me teary because that’s the whole point and I was SO proud of her and honored to walk this road with them 🤍

This family came to us seeking a faith based doula and had plans to deliver with a midwife in the hospital. She and her husband did a beautiful job learning and preparing with Mila’s help throughout pregnancy. Birth almost always requires a lot of surrender and this one was no exception. They did a beautiful job amidst provider changes and advocated for mom and baby beautifully throughout a hard labor (and provided Mila a chance to get her workout in doing hip squeezes ;) ).

Shortly after birth their baby did require some additional support for some unexpected complications, so please join us as they navigate that as new parents and prepare for their baby’s surgery.

This family is adding to their birth team very intentionally and interviewed several doulas - we are so honored to be chosen to walk alongside them as they prepare to grow their family. They’ve navigated the immensely difficult road of miscarriage multiple times and we know that pregnancy after loss is just never the same. We are very excited for them to have this long awaited baby safe in their arms! Congratulations, “P” family! 🤍

This poor mama has already been hospitalized many times for complications in her first trimester! What a rough start! She needs all the support she can get and thankfully her insurance has helped her cover doula services. It’s always so exciting to help first time parents and especially when we call the same city “home” :) We hope the worst is behind you and are so excited for you to become parents, “B” family!!

It’s been so fun to see who the Lord brings into our work and this one had so many connections - this mama was the daughter of an old friend and HER doctor had delivered a couple of her siblings years ago AND was my family’s former physician. She labored beautifully amidst some unexpected challenges and was surrounded and supported by their big family and some amazing nurses. Mom was a ROCKSTAR and when it was time to push, brought her baby girl earthside with such strength! Congratulations, “P” family on your precious girl!! 🩷

We’ve had a whole bunch of families who are “team Green” (aka not finding our gender unto birth) and it’s OH SO FUN!! 💚 This fam is one of them, preparing to welcome their first baby, and we are so excited to support them. Congratulations, “M” family! It’s going to be the best summer yet!

This sweet family had two hospital births with epidurals prior to this pregnancy and desired an unmedicated home birth this time… just two days after their home visit with their fabulous midwife and a couple weeks before they expected, she went into labor. Active labor kicked up just as she put her girls down for naps and when they woke up a few hours later they had a new baby brother! This family did a beautiful job supporting mom as she labored in a whirlwind few hours.

This one will forever hold a special place in my heart. 🤍 Doulas aren’t “supposed” to catch babies but as always, babies come when babies come and this was the first client we’ve had where the baby came before midwives could make it (no fault of theirs - she hit the road as soon as we called but this boy just couldn’t wait 😆). Praising God for this precious boy. Congratulations, “O” family!!

I don’t think I ever shared about this awesome (and fun) local resource! This is Ginger and she’s a super mom!! She owns which is a local lactation bakery with DELICIOUS treats for breastfeeding moms (and she also offers shipping). If you’re looking for a fun way to support your breastmilk supply, her products are a wonderful option (this would also make an amazing gift for a new mom in your life, too!). I can’t wait to stop by again the next time I’m in her area.
