This poor mama has already been hospitalized many times for complications in her first trimester! What a rough start! She needs all the support she can get and thankfully her insurance has helped her cover doula services. It’s always so exciting to help first time parents and especially when we call the same city “home” :) We hope the worst is behind you and are so excited for you to become parents, “B” family!!

It’s been so fun to see who the Lord brings into our work and this one had so many connections - this mama was the daughter of an old friend and HER doctor had delivered a couple of her siblings years ago AND was my family’s former physician. She labored beautifully amidst some unexpected challenges and was surrounded and supported by their big family and some amazing nurses. Mom was a ROCKSTAR and when it was time to push, brought her baby girl earthside with such strength! Congratulations, “P” family on your precious girl!! 🩷

This sweet family had two hospital births with epidurals prior to this pregnancy and desired an unmedicated home birth this time… just two days after their home visit with their fabulous midwife and a couple weeks before they expected, she went into labor. Active labor kicked up just as she put her girls down for naps and when they woke up a few hours later they had a new baby brother! This family did a beautiful job supporting mom as she labored in a whirlwind few hours.

This one will forever hold a special place in my heart. 🤍 Doulas aren’t “supposed” to catch babies but as always, babies come when babies come and this was the first client we’ve had where the baby came before midwives could make it (no fault of theirs - she hit the road as soon as we called but this boy just couldn’t wait 😆). Praising God for this precious boy. Congratulations, “O” family!!

I don’t think I ever shared about this awesome (and fun) local resource! This is Ginger and she’s a super mom!! She owns which is a local lactation bakery with DELICIOUS treats for breastfeeding moms (and she also offers shipping). If you’re looking for a fun way to support your breastmilk supply, her products are a wonderful option (this would also make an amazing gift for a new mom in your life, too!). I can’t wait to stop by again the next time I’m in her area.

This family contacted us as soon as they found out they could receive doula services through their insurance! This is becoming more common and can be such a great gift for families 🤍 they are welcoming their first baby and are looking for hands-on support throughout labor and delivery - we are excited to partner with them to welcome their little one this summer! Congratulations “K” family on your sweet girl!! Mila had the privilege of supporting this family who was a family member of a precious client (referrals are the best gift and when it’s family it’s EVEN BETTER 🥹). They were some complications in pregnancy that caused the to be on high alert and sometimes that makes it hard to prepare for labor but they did a beautiful job of rolling with it and welcomed their precious girl! After a little extra support for baby girl they’re settled in at home as a family of 3! 🥰

There’s just nothing better than being a mom. It’s one of the greatest blessings of my life and I’m so grateful for my five precious babies.

Walking with families as they enter this phase of their lives makes it even sweeter… this doula life isn’t just a job but it’s a calling. Mama’s, it’s such an honor to be a part of your village 🤍

This family will be welcoming their third boy this summer! Mom is no stranger to unmedicated birth and has done two (tough) labors before. We’re hoping to be able to focus on some body preparation to help her obtain more balance and hopefully encourage this baby into a smoother path for delivery when the time comes. She’s in great hands of some wonderful midwives and is planning her first home birth 🤍 Congratulations, “K” family!

I just can’t get over this gorgeous photo from a recent birth Mila supported. This is what support can look like… protection of your precious first moments with your baby, hands off when everything is just safe and fine… joining you in rejoicing over the beautiful, empowering and ridiculously intense thing you just did and the new life entrusted to you! TRUST in the process of birth makes all the difference in the world. Congratulations to this sweet couple on the birth of their first baby 🤍
