Dream :
“I have been given 5 topics to talk about by Marc Chagall. Initially I was not aware of the other 4 but I chose “spaces”.
( I think this choice has to do with my inferior function, which is extroverted sensation. I find out later in active imagination that the other four choices were flight, colors, roots, and voices. All four had to do with Marc Chagall’s paintings.) I lamely discuss “space”, and then Marc Chagall gives his own commentary. I blacked out during his talk and didn’t hear a word. He then moves on to the next person.”
In later active imagination here were some ruminations about what “spaces” are in the unconscious :
Where is the unconscious? The unconscious is a realm of potentiality that exists alongside, beneath and within the conscious mind. It is a vast borderless sea that has depth but no physical location. It's where dreams, archetypes and instincts originate. It permeates everything like water in a sponge, present yet invisible. It surfaces in images, symbols, emotions or synchronicities. It is nothing like personal memory, it is a shared root system. Its location is relational. Wherever you encounter the numinous, the uncanny, the mythic in actual life or in dialogues during active imagination it is there. It’s where is an experience. Even though it has no location it feels intimately near. It is not a place but a perspective. It is contained in an image. It happens wherever the soul comes forth, experientially not spatially. It is found in the shivers of a meaningful dream, in an in between, liminal space. Not a container but a happening.
If the unconscious is the sea, then the pleroma is the infinite abyss beneath it. The pleroma contains all potentialities before they exist. The pleroma is the fullness of all opposites, a primal unity before creation where all distinctions have dissolved. Its pre spatial pre temporal. Ground Zero of existence.
