A loving father of 2 boys (Anthony 27 and Matthew 25) and a devoted loving husband to Donna Fumanti Trotta of 33 years is in need of your help. The Family is NOT a match, that is why we are reaching out and asking for any help we can get! Do you know someone who is or would consider being a living donor? Please, we are asking for your assistance in helping us in Finding a match and donor for Tony. Known to be as stubborn as his lifetime moniker, THE MULE!!! Tony has contributed so much to the Old Forge community over his lifetime. He began his coaching career in the late 70’s early 80’s with the Old Forge High School Freshman & Varsity Football programs along with coaching the American Legion Baseball team. Tony was instrumental in initiating the reorganization of the Old Forge Junior Football Program where he served as president and coached For 9 years. Tony was also an active member in the Old Forge Little League & the Borough basketball program where he also coached for many years. Tony and his family have always tried to and continue to support the Old Forge Community when in need. Countless hours of dedication, Countless years of community, Countless hours devoted to the Youth of yesterday and today… this is what the “Mule” prides himself and his life with. Tony is a “Giver” NOT an “Asker” … A man of few words, his heart is displayed in his actions his entire life throughout the community! At this time “We, his Family” are doing the asking! For over 30 years, Tony Trotta has been fighting Kidney disease, not once has it hindered his ability to help another in need, help a child, help a community and with this said our stubborn“Mule” is not giving up, we are at a point of needing 1, just one match to help Tony regain his normal life of helping others and being there for his family. In 2016, Tony was diagnosed with Stage 5 Kidney Disease and has been on dialysis 3x a week since 2019. Tony was on a donor list and in line for a kidney until the family received the news that he now faced another battle.. thyroid cancer (AND CONQUERED IT)…
Of course, this put a temporary wrench in the “Mules” chances of being on that list for a given
time and was moved to inactive for a period of time. Good News is he has just been returned to
