Update pics show big leaps forward: the roof membrane is going on, front siding is taking shape, and the first-floor heat tubing with reinforcement is set and poured. The Pullman St. side now has partial siding and its new door-cover roof, stonework is finished in front with the side underway, and framing continues on both floors. Upstairs front doors are in, the stairway railings have arrived, and the latest shot gives a fresh look at the front as the building continues to come together.

Reminder: Bagels, Blood Pressure Checks & More will be at the Old Forge Volunteer Ambulance CORPS., corner of Spring Street and State Route 28 on Thursday, November 13th, 10:00 am to 12 Noon.

The Resource Center for Independent Living/Utica, will be present to answer any questions you may have. Additionally, blood pressure readings will be offered by nurses from Mohawk Valley Health System and Herkimer County Public Health will be present as well.

If you still have questions about Medicare Insurance Enrollment, Will Basile from Alces Consulting will be there to work with you.

❗️PROGRESS❗️
Update photos show major progress — 90% of the 2nd floor partitions are now in place, and siding installation is well underway with two sides nearly complete. Construction of the gable roof over the main entrance has begun, while stonework and stucco coating continue. All stairways are now finished with concrete filling.

The next big step is pouring the first-story floor after foam insulation and a v***r barrier are installed. In-floor heat tubing will be fastened according to specs, followed by reinforcement wire mesh or rods to strengthen the concrete. Electrical lines are being run either under the concrete or overhead.

More updates to come as the project continues to take shape!

Things are moving quickly now — multiple crews are working in sync as we head toward closing the building in. The first-story floor is set to be poured at the end of the month after radiant heat tubing is installed.

The 2nd story walls were poured and interior walls are up, supports are in place for the roof, and the insulated roof has been poured. The on-demand water heater and wall-hung boiler are installed, with piping and electrical lines (including an underground cable from the power pole) underway.

The first-story interior walls in the ambulance bays have been stuccoed and painted, and top partial walls above the roof level are being formed and poured. Exterior walls are being prepped for siding with a green v***r barrier and fitting strips, while second-story windows are installed. Stonework has also begun along the front and Pullman Ave. side.

Exciting progress for sure!
