Special needs families live a life that's different than most everyone else, and the challenges can wear us all down. One of the things that I love most about Disney is that when we go there with our severely developmentally disabled young daughter, we feel safe and at ease and most of all accepted. We make great memories together. As a former spe
cial education teacher and behavior specialist, I've been working with families for nearly a decade. Right now I'm working towards my PhD in Clinical Psychology, with a research focus on how families cope with disability. Now I bring that expertise and passion to helping families create wonderful Disney vacations. Whenever I got to Disney World, I'm always shocked to see how many individuals with disabilities are vacationing, and getting a piece of the Disney magic. It's a beautiful thing.
