Do you have a passion for helping others and enjoy spending time with people? We have opportunities available for Companions, Homemakers, and Personal Hygiene Assistants in New London County and Middlesex County, CT.

Weekend Positions (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays):

🔹 Companions: Provide socialization and company to clients. Activities can include playing cards, walks, or accompanying clients to social events like lunch, museums, or the library.

🔹 Homemakers: Includes all companion duties plus light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and accompaniment to appointments.

🔹 Personal Hygiene Assistants: All duties of companions and homemakers, along with assisting with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and other daily activities.

🤧Flu Season Is Coming: How to Stay Healthy and Prepared🤧

As flu season approaches, it’s time to take steps to protect yourself and your loved ones. While the flu can’t be avoided entirely, a few simple precautions can help you stay healthy throughout the season.

1. Get Your Flu Shot
The flu vaccine is your best defense against the virus. It’s updated every year to protect against the most common strains, so get vaccinated before the end of October for the best protection.

2. Boost Your Immune System
Support your immune system by eating a balanced diet, staying active, getting enough sleep, and drinking plenty of water. A strong immune system can help fight off illnesses like the flu.

3. Practice Good Hygiene
Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds, especially after touching public surfaces. If soap isn’t available, use hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your face and disinfect commonly touched surfaces to reduce the spread of germs.

4. Stay Home If You’re Sick
If you develop flu symptoms, stay home to rest and avoid spreading the virus to others. If symptoms worsen, consult a healthcare provider.

5. Be Prepared
Stock up on essentials like over-the-counter medications, tissues, hand sanitizer, and hydration supplies. This way, you’re ready if you do get sick.

6. Take Extra Precautions
If you’re at higher risk of complications (young children, the elderly, or those with chronic conditions), be especially cautious around others. Consider wearing a mask in crowded areas.

7. Know When to Seek Medical Help
Seek medical attention if you experience severe symptoms like difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion, or a high fever that won’t subside.
