offers adaptive riding instruction for individuals with disabilities, occupational, physical and speech-language therapy services, an inclusive summer day camp as well as school and vocational programs. The facility operates six days-a-week, twelve months-a-year.

Our final spotlight of National Volunteer Appreciation Week! 🌟 Meet Karen Ruffner. Karen’s journey with Mane Stream over the last four years hasn’t been a straight line, but she has proven exactly what "The Power of Showing Up" means. After taking some time away for health reasons, Karen made her triumphant return to the barn this year, and we couldn't be happier to have her back!

Whether she’s getting a nuzzle from her favorite horse, Buzz, or watching her rider, Penelope, gain confidence in the arena, Karen makes every minute of her weekly shift count. 🐎✨ As Karen says: "I love it all... it's all rewarding!"

It’s National Volunteer Appreciation Week, and we are thrilled to share our second volunteer spotlight! 🌟 Meet Amy Mahoney, a retired mental health counselor who moved to Tewksbury and found a "miraculous" new perspective on therapy right here at Mane Stream.

Whether she’s sidewalking for the Pillar School or subbing in for Horses for Healing, Amy leaves a trail of sunshine wherever she goes. As Amy says, volunteering here is "a gift and a privilege", but honestly, having her on our team is the real gift! 🐎✨

As we dive into another busy spring here at Mane Stream, we are absolutely bubbling over with gratitude for the impact our volunteers make on our participants and our community. Just like the perfect lather, our volunteers provide the support that makes our programs shine.

It’s National Volunteer Appreciation Week! 🐎 To celebrate, we are launching a series of spotlights on the incredible people who make Mane Stream possible.

We’re starting with Alison Crowley, who joined us a decade ago after retirement. Despite having zero horse experience, Alison found her "spark" in our Therapy Services program. Over 655 hours of service later, her impact on our participants and staff is immeasurable.
