Looking for something to do next weekend with the kids? Bring them over to The Pines Olean for some trick or treating! Our residents absolutely love handing out candy and seeing all the little ones dressed up! We are also seeking candy donations for the residents to pass out to the kids. If you would like to donate a bag of Halloween candy, please drop it off at the front desk for Kristie Schlopy. Trick or Treat at The Pines of Olean is October 25th @ 10:30am 🎃🎃

Today, our Annual Walk to End Alzheimer's took place, filled with sunshine and heartfelt smiles as we collectively walked for a future cure. We express our deepest gratitude to our volunteers, staff, families, and residents whose contributions ensured the day's success and made it truly memorable. 💜🤍💜

We need your help! The Pines Olean is hosting a "Seniors" Prom for our residents on May 16th. We are collecting Prom Dresses, Bridesmaid Dresses, dressy dresses of all kinds as well as Men's Shirts and Ties for this event. These items will not be returned as they will be altered for the residents. To donate, please contact Kim Chase at 716-373-1910 ext 4443.

Please join us in congratulating one of our own- Laurie Donner – Winner of the 2025 Leading Age of New York Employee of Distinction Awards!

“The Employee of Distinction Award recognizes the extraordinary dedication of direct service and indirect service staff, not part of upper management. Perhaps the nominee has positively affected the quality of life of those served or has significantly improved a service/program, or perhaps it’s the manner in which the nominee displays a strong commitment to the organization. Whatever the reason, LeadingAge New York knows there are many who dedicate themselves to caring for others and we would like to help you express appreciation to them.”


Laurie was nominated by her coworkers and upper management for her dedication to The Cattaraugus County- Pines of Olean. She shows tremendous commitment to the residents on a daily basis. Her creativity and skills put a unique spin on resident based activities. She and her “Crafty Crew’ of residents work together to create beautiful and meaningful artwork to be on display in our facility. In addition to her work in the facility, she is a remarkable fundraiser for The Alzheimer’s Association, raising over $150,000.00 over the past 7 years. Having Laurie as a member of our team is truly a blessing and we are so grateful she was awarded with such a prestigious award to highlight her remarkable accomplishments.

There will be an award ceremony this summer to highlight these achievements and we will post details in the near future.

I sure do hope you are on the "Crafty Crew's Easter gift list! We created some Easter chocolate bark! Adorned with oreos, m&m's, malt eggs and sprinkles! We also made very glitzy gift tags to attach!!! 🐇🐥🐣

Spring is Finally here! Brinda is currently in therapy, focusing on improving her balance and strength so she can return home. To make the process more enjoyable, one of our COTA’s Macey, joined Brinda for a fun game of Easter Ring Toss while working towards her goals.
