🐄 We’re still buzzing about this trip to the dairy 🥛 🍦
On Friday morning, Hoover's Dairy graciously welcomed members of our Prevocational program for a tour of the farm in Sanborn. A fifth-generation family business, Hoover’s has been bottling milk since 1920 and making deliveries for more than 100 years, still using glass bottles to this day! We toured the warehouse and shop and learned all about the bottling, cleaning, pasteurization and homogenization process – and how they make ice cream. Then we met some very friendly cows!
And no trip to Hoover’s is complete without a visit to the restaurant next door for lunch and ice cream. Thanks to Hoover’s for a fantastic Friday!

Music has a special way of bringing people together, and we love every moment of it! From toe taps to full-on dance moves, it’s all about having fun, building confidence, and connecting with others.

This week, we turned up the music and hosted a couple of dance-a-thons, filled with energy, laughter, and plenty of unforgettable moves!

We were thrilled to partner with ConnectLife as they brought their mobile blood donation bus to our Allegany location.

Thanks to our incredible staff and supporters, 21 units were donated, potentially saving up to 63 lives right here in our community.

We’re already looking forward to their next visit!

Day Program teamed up with Wellness for a fun Easter Egg Hunt that got us moving and thinking healthy!

Each egg had an instruction for a simple exercise or a good thought, like “Name 3 things you like about yourself.”

We also got to participate in an obstacle course that helped us work on fine motor skills. The fun times ended with a dance party that got us strutting our stuff to some of our favorite songs!

Do you have room in your home and heart to help an adult with developmental and intellectual disabilities?

Intandem seeks people who are willing to host an adult in their home for both permanent and respite situations.

Want to learn more? The Olean Times Herald just shared a story that features the experience of one of our Family Care Providers!

Tracy Jaskolka always felt she had more to give. As a longtime employee of Intandem’s Community Habilitation program, when one woman under her care needed a change in her life, she didn’t hesitate to step in. Jaskolka now calls it an “atypical” way of getting into the Family Care provider pr...

41 years. Countless lives touched. One incredible career.

We are proud to celebrate Maureen Boza's retirement after 41 years of service to Intandem.

Throughout her career, Maureen has demonstrated exceptional dedication, compassion, and professionalism in supporting individuals across Community Habilitation, in-home respite, and residential services. She has also played an important role in mentoring staff and strengthening program quality.

Her contributions have made a meaningful and lasting impact on both the individuals we serve and our organization.

Thank you, Maureen, and congratulations on your retirement.

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is a time to celebrate the people we support and the staff who walk alongside them every day.

At Intandem, inclusion isn’t just an idea — it’s something we work toward together, building opportunities, friendships, and stronger communities.

🎨The third annual Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM) digital art gallery includes artists from all three Intandem Day Services locations: Allegany, Lockport and Niagara Falls. Congratulations to all of our amazing artists! 👏

We are proud to debut the third annual Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM) digital art gallery🎉!

To celebrate DDAM, the NYS Council on Developmental Disabilities (CDD) asked self-advocates to send us their artwork responding to the theme "Celebrating our Achievements." With nearly 200 submissions, the CDD wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible artists who shared their talent and creativity. Your work helps raise awareness and highlights the diverse perspectives within our community.

Enjoy the drawings, paintings, poems, photography, sculptures and more in this year's DDAM Digital Art Gallery! You can view the gallery and more on the newly dedicated web page on the CDD’s official website here: https://cdd.ny.gov/developmental-disability-awareness-month
