Class Descriptions:
Open Studio:
Time and day varies, see calendar. Depending on who is monitoring the studio, reiki or yoga guidance is available; regardless, open studio time provides a time and place to spend a portion of your day in community, with your choice of self-led yoga, a chance to sit quietly on a meditation cushion by the front window, read from our selection of yoga and spiritual study books, enjoy a cup of tea or simply set aside a moment to journal or quietly chat with friends. Cost: Suggested donation $5.
Womyn’s Circle:
(Inner work) Friday 2/2 from 7-9pm;
(Dance/Outer Growth) Friday 2/16 from 7-9pm. Join us as we hold space for all who identify as women ages 16+. This circle meets twice a month, once for inner work and once for outer growth. The inner work circle is a time for sharing and gaining more understanding on topics brought forth organically, we will provide tea and discussion prompts, meditation, creative projects, and a rhythm to our gathering. Outer growth is the second monthly womyn's circle anchored in movement and dynamic breathing, reflection and setting intentions. Join us and see how powerful it truly is when womyn gather to heal and support one another. Cost: Suggested donation $12.
Autism Parent Support Group:
Join Sarah Swinko from Naturally Grounding, a mom of a child with autism, for a monthly meet up with other parents, caregivers, and therapists of kids with sensitivities and/or autism. Kids are welcome. Contact Sarah for details. Sunday Feb 4th, 1-3pm. Cost: Donation based.
Just Breathe:
Holly Linden with Holistic Embrace will take you on a biweekly journey through your conscious and unconscious self. Every other Monday evening starting 2/5 from 6-7pm. Holly is formally trained in social work and counseling but her experience in energy work takes this class to another level. Each session we will dive deep into the science and spirituality of both breathwork and meditation while equipping you with the tools to support yourselves in integrating these practices into your daily practices. From anxiety to intuitive development, breathwork and meditation can be used on so many occasions and with these resources on your side, you'll be better able to embrace the flow of life. Winter Yoga Series:
Choose from Tuesdays 6:30-7:45pm and/or Saturdays 9-10am with Yoga with Jessie Lampack Slattery. Follow your feel good with this ashtanga-inspired vinyasa class for all levels, Jessie leads a different flow each class, ending with a nourishing savasana and shared passage of poetry or inspiration to carry with you home. Contact Jessie for more detailed information. Cost: $15 drop in or $60 for a 5 class pass. *This is a nearly full class so please text or PM to secure a spot ahead of time each week.
Soma Yoga:
Come try this new class offering with Sarah Burt from Black Crow Yoga on Wednesdays 6-7pm. This class will focus on resetting the nervous system, healing through somatic movements, releasing tension and emotion and getting unstuck in the body. This class is great for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. Contact Sarah Burt directly for more specific info. Cost: $15 drop in or purchase a $60 pass for 5 classes usable with any teacher.
Moon Circles:
New Moon 2/9 from 6-8pm, Full Moon 2/23 from 6-8pm. Sign up to secure a spot with Sarah Swinko as she guides you to embrace the feminine energy of the moon by talking about the moon, current astrology, and what it all means for us. We journal & pull cards, which brings up great discussions and connections. Cost: Suggested donation $10.
Garden Dreamers:
This new offering will occur once or twice a month, join us with special local guests to plan, discuss, and learn about gardening and the local flora we can all enjoy. In February we will have Steph Beneng from Light Work Farm visiting on Saturday 2/10 1-3pm. We will be creating vision boards for our upcoming garden dreams, Steph will be available for conversation and please bring along any seeds for swapping! PM for more info. Quiet toys for children are available while parents enjoy the community time. Cost: $12, all creative materials provided.
Sangha Sunday Fellowship:
Sunday 2/11 from 10am-Noon. Find your community as we water the seeds of compassion and peace in one another. A beautiful opportunity to build relationships with others who are looking to build a spiritual family in this area. This monthly event is kid-friendly and open to all. Tea is offered, light potluck items to share, mindfulness practices for adults and children, and sound healing available; may we all find nourishment, together. PM to register, February’s gathering will offer an elderberry syrup making demo. Cost: Donate what you can.
Meditation for Yogis:
This new class offering is a biweekly meditation series. Expand your practice beyond the asanas (postures) by joining local practitioner Rich Dayton for an exploration of the lesser-known mental branches of the eight-limbed ashtanga yoga practice. Class will include some breathwork, and both seated and walking meditations to help you cultivate a sense of calm abiding and concentration in a frenetic world. Each class will run approximately 1.5 hours, from 6:30-8pm every other Thursday starting 2/15. Please bring your favorite mat, cushion, or bench with you to class, limited mats are available to borrow. Cost: $15 drop in or use your Wellspring 5 class pass/punch card (or purchase one for $60). The Fiddleheads Kids’ Book Club:
Join local Enchanted Mountain Homeschool Explorers program facilitator and mother of 4, Brynn Fontes, with two new offerings for our Wellspring Youth! Choose the right book for your child. This season we bring to you “The Wild Robot”, primarily focusing on the developmental needs of boys in grades 3-5 and “Where the Mountain Meets the Moon” geared towards shining light on the path of girls in grades 4-7. This club uses an interdisciplinary approach to learning and is great for homeschool students as well as those in public school. Brynn will be leading discussion, activity prompts, and projects to bring these books to life. On an alternating schedule, this series runs for 5 weeks each book, starting 2/21 with “The Wild Robot” from 4-5pm and the following week on 2/28 with “Where the Mountain Meets the Moon” from 4-5pm. Pre-registration required. Cost: $50 for the 5 class series per book, please PM if your financials are barring your child from attending or you have more questions. *Any child ages 7-13 can sign up for either read. The Wellspring Kids' Club:
Join The Wellspring team for a fun kids’ program on this day off public school. Yoga story time, music, movement, and playtime together in the studio. Primarily focused on the developmental needs of kids ages 3 to 8, siblings welcome, this event is open to all with parental supervision. Monday, February 19th from 10am-noon. Suggested donation: $10 per parent-child pair.
Spiral Seed Circle:
Registration is closed until April 2024. This is a mother-daughter (ages 10-14) circle led by Jessie focusing on a different heroine in history each month. We highlight the parts of her character we'd like to carry on and enjoy tea and snacks while learning and crafting together. This offering is a year-long program with open enrollment in April and early May. PM if you're interested in more information.
Your Cosmic DNA:
Join Amy Baer-Weis & Sarah Swinko in a monthly class to understand the basics of astrology and how to read your own (seemingly complicated) birth chart, your pillars of creation, your personal cosmic DNA. First class is February 25th, 1-3pm. Cost: $30 - all materials provided. Contact Sarah Swinko for more details.
Drum Circle:
Colleen Connelly from Beat City Music, Inc. is bringing her Sacred Drum Circle to The Wellspring on Feb 25th from 4-5:30pm! When you drum with intention, you'll discover the rhythms that move you. Suggested donation: $10. No experience needed, bring a drum if you have one - otherwise drums will be provided.
Yogi Book Club:
Wednesday 2/28 from 7:30-9pm. Join Geena Tripodi, Jessie, and friends once a month for this book club dedicated to those investigating a deeper introspection on the human experience. Unlock actionable insights, vibrant discussions, and a supportive community dedicated to personal growth and well-being. For February’s gathering we will discuss “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer. Bring a snack to share if you like. Cost: Suggested donation $10. Zoom option available.
