Hello my dear ones!
May is so near already and brings such a turn in our glorious landscape - have you gotten out to enjoy and observe all the Spring changes? May is one of my favorite months - our family has many birthing days to celebrate this month as well as my 16th wedding anniversary! Plus we've got May Day/Beltane, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Allegany Nature Pilgrimage (have you heard of this delightful weekend for nature nerds of all kinds at Allegany State Park?!), last frost date for our zone, and many other treasured timestamps. I used to take May off of yoga teaching so that I'd be able to really soak in this month, now with running a whole studio, things are a little different logistically so while I am taking off my usual yoga instruction schedule - I am hosting some open studio times. If you're someone who is looking for space to practice a self-led yoga session, this is your opportunity! Tuesday mornings in May 7:30am-8:30am the studio will be available for practice. I will be practicing during that time myself and devoting the month of May to gaining back some traction in my own self-led AKA Self-led work. This is a donation-based offering, and if the early morning doesn't suit you - join Alaina on Thursday evenings 6-7:30pm - for her open studio sessions! You'll find access to our small library of yoga books and poetry, our tea station, time to journal if you'd like, and an invitation to treat yourself to some peace and quiet.
Regardless of where you practice - use your May as an opportunity to explore and investigate what yoga looks like for you without my own voice (or Kelly's!) nudging you along. I can't wait to hear about what you turn up.

📚 Prosperity Book Club with Geena - Throughout May, Prosperity Book Club will be reading: "The Way of the Rose" by Clark Strand and Perdita Finn. Both a memoir and spiritual guide—a return to the rosary as something older, softer, and deeply rooted in the earth. What began for them as a series of visions became a rediscovery of the rosary as a “garland of roses,” an offering to the Divine Mother, and a practice that reconnects us to nature, rhythm, and care for the Earth. We’ll begin creating our own rosaries—formed from rose clay—on Friday the 15th. The following Friday, May 22nd, we’ll gather again and be gently guided in meditation by artist Johannah DeSloover () to complete them. If this feels like something you’d like to step into, message Geena for details.
