What a successful trip for Oley HOSA!!

Last night, Charlie Donoff places top 42 in the Healthcare Issues Exam. This morning Oley took a trip to the aquarium, highlighted with our new pet stingrays. At the awards ceremony, Adam Eshbach placed top 10 in Medical Reading, the first time in our organization’s history having someone place at ILC!! We are so proud of this incredible young man. ILC 2024 showed our members dedication, diversity, and fun. Seniors Charlie Donoff, Nathan Firek, Co-Historian Victoria Grim, Secretary Arabella Reinert, Vice-President Mahlon Weidner, and President Lauren Habakus say thank you for an unforgettable ILC and HOSA experience for the last two years. Thank you to both Penn HOSA and HOSA FHP for this incredible opportunity. As both Oley Valley and HOSA alumni, we are signing off! LYNX PRIDE, forever and always!

We dove into day 3 with lots of fun activities! 🏊🏼‍♀️⚾️

In the morning, HOSA members toured the Houston Astros stadium and walked on the field. A few members did their events this morning as well. We swam, ate, and had fun at Ava’s family’s house. Tomorrow is our last full day in Houston, and it will consist of seeing fish and awards!

Day 2 of ILC in the books ✅

Oley HOSA worked hard today. Mental Health Promotion presented their campaign and Ava took her first round testing. We continued our pin trading, ate some fantastic barbecue, and some members donated blood! The boys team competed in the Anatomage tournament. The graduates stayed up late and attended the alumni dance 💃. Tomorrow we will have more testing and a tour of the Astros baseball stadium!

Houston, the Lynx have arrived!

On the first day of the 2024 HOSA ILC, Oley Valley HOSA had lots of fun. We took our National Geographic exams, visited exhibits like NMDP, and competed in Anatomage tournaments. Charlie Donoff received a scholarship and he went to a dinner. We attended the Opening Ceremony and cheered on Penn HOSA. we are so excited for day 2 when our competitive events begin.
