Healthy decisions don’t come from “calming down later” they come from regulating in the moment.
When emotions are running high, the brain shifts into survival mode. Logic takes a back seat, impulses take the wheel, and decisions are made from urgency, not intention.
So, consider this if you will:
• Notice what’s happening in your body
• Naming the emotion without judgment
• Creating enough pause to choose, not react
