The U.S. Department of Education is accepting public comments on a proposed rule that would limit amounts for graduate student loans.

These borrowing limits would restrict access to Counselor Education, affecting an already limited workforce. Help us advocate for graduate education access. Healthy decisions don’t come from “calming down later” they come from regulating in the moment.

When emotions are running high, the brain shifts into survival mode. Logic takes a back seat, impulses take the wheel, and decisions are made from urgency, not intention.

So, consider this if you will:

• Notice what’s happening in your body
• Naming the emotion without judgment
• Creating enough pause to choose, not react

As this year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to each of you.

Thank you for trusting me with your stories, your growth, and the parts of your lives that matter most, your hopes, your challenges, your families, and the people you care about. It is never taken lightly when someone allows me into their world, and I am deeply honored to walk alongside you in that process.

This year has been filled with courage, hard work, reflection, and resilience. Whether your journey included small steps, major breakthroughs, or simply showing up when it was difficult, your effort and openness are what make this work meaningful.

I am grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to support you. As we move into a new year, I wish you continued growth, peace, and moments of rest and clarity.
