Just soaking up all the smiles and bubble loving days with this girl! We have been doing great and just cruising along. We’ve had lots of follow up appointments lately and have gotten GREAT reports for them. We will continue doing therapies and hope she continues to thrive in them! Her biggest progress lately has been in her speech! She’s getting so much more talkative and really starting to be purposeful with her words and sounds. We are so thankful to have her here with us and see her continued progress 🥰

Life is so fun with these silly girls! No big updates just continuing all of the different therapies and slowly making progress. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to see this girl thrive 🥰❤️🫶🏼

We are starting off this Sunday in the BEST mood!

We are still working on standing and gaining confidence with that. We have added more therapies onto our schedule and hope this little strong girl can continue to make progress! We are so proud of her! 🤩

P.S. We finally have enough hair for a ponytail 🥳

Sweet girl is doing great! We are ready to cheer on the Mississippi State bulldogs! 🐶🔔

So sorry for such a long break in between posts! Charlotte got norovirus and had some difficult days with tummy issues but we were able to get over it without a hospital trip. She is much better now!!!👏🏼

Courtney (Charlotte’s mom) was in a wreck earlier this week and their only vehicle was totaled. Thankfully neither kid was in the car when it happened. Praise Jesus she is okay and we have been able to find them another reliable vehicle for all of Charlotte’s appointments.

Life may have it’s ups and downs but thankfully we have this girl to remind us that Jesus is always so good and listens to each prayer. 💕🥰

Two years ago, Charlotte Blake received her second chance at life through the gift of a donor heart. These past two years have been filled with ups and downs, but above all, we are thankful every single day to still have our sweet girl here with us. God is so, so good for allowing her to grow, thrive, and bring so much light to our lives.

Our gratitude for her donor family is endless. We can only imagine the weight of their grief over the past two years and especially today. We pray for them often, knowing that words like “thank you” will never be enough to express the depth of our gratitude for their selfless gift.

If you are not already, we encourage you to consider becoming an organ donor. It truly makes a difference and saves lives—Charlotte is living proof of that.

We are also beyond thankful for the unwavering support from this page, our family, friends, and even complete strangers who have walked alongside us on this journey. We could not face the ups and downs without your love and encouragement.

Every single day with Charlotte Blake is a gift, and we are so blessed to be chosen as her family. ❤️

Give Charlotte some bubbles or a spoon and she’s the happiest girl ever!

She’s doing great in therapies and we will continue to add more lengthy sessions and push her to do new skills as she tolerates. We are so thankful to have our girl here with us and thriving 💗🤩🎉

NO SIGNS OF REJECTION!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Overall everything went well! Her coronary artery does have some swelling and slight level of concern there, but more of just a watch and see situation. No need for intervention at this time so that’s a blessing! Will just continue our follow ups as planned! She is at home now and happy as can be to be away from the hospital.

***Procedure went well and no signs of rejection 🎉🎉

We’re asking for all the prayers tomorrow (8/18) as our sweet, brave girl goes in for her annual heart biopsy and cath lab procedure. This test allows her doctors to check how well her heart is functioning and to take a small sample to look for any signs of rejection. These checkups are a routine but important part of her journey, and they remind us just how far she has come since her transplant. Handing her over never gets easier, and it always comes with a mix of emotions, but we’re trusting in God and her amazing care team. Please pray that everything goes smoothly, her heart stays strong, and that there are no signs of rejection. It will be a long day at Le Bonheur as we wait for her preliminary results, but we are so thankful for the love, prayers, and support that surround her and our family.

As we approach her 2-year heart anniversary, we are filled with gratitude—for her strength, for her incredible medical team, and for the donor family whose selfless gift made these milestones possible. ❤️

We were up super early for her MRI. She did great with sedation and tolerated the process better than she has in the past. Bubbles were definitely our saving grace during vitals and assessments. It’ll be a little while before the report is ready so we will update if there’s anything concerning on it. It was basically just to assess for any neurological damage that may have occurred due to her complicated and lengthy course.

Next week, will be her yearly heart cath procedure to assess for rejection and how her heart is doing. Prayers as that draws closer!

We are beyond blessed to be her family and get to see her grow! ☺️

Life has been busy, busy since big sister has gone back to school! Charlotte is doing great and even enjoys standing up sometimes! We are eager to continue to make progress and hopefully get her to take some steps soon.

The only big update is Charlotte will have a sedated MRI on Tuesday of her brain. We haven’t done one since her transplant and just want to assess it in case she has had any neurological damage due to all she went through prior and during the process of recovering from the transplant. We pray everything looks as it should. Sedation is always scary with our girl but know it’s a good way to know if she had any impacts from all the events she has experienced. Pray that everything goes smoothly.
