WarHorses for Heroes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing equine-assisted therapy programs for veterans

WarHorses for Heroes provides Memphis area veterans the ability to interact with other veterans and horses in a variety of activities, building their skills and confidence as they advance through the program. Sessions are led by either our own therapist or one with the VA and a PATH certified instructor. Recreational therapy like this is proven to build self-esteem, stability and connections, and it’s our goal to help the heroes of our country heal emotionally and physically. We never have, and never will charge our veterans for our services. We rely on you, our donors, and dedicated volunteers to keep our equine therapy sessions going.

Our organization centers on supporting the mental health of our veterans, so, of course, we would like to celebrate with all of you! A person's mental health can be affected by every aspect of life. They could be fighting a battle on the inside that no one knows about. Today is a great day to do a check-in with your friends and family, and let them know they have your support!

We would also like to appreciate all of our fellow non-profits who support the cause of bettering our Veterans' mental health.

Want to help make a difference at our Veterans Day Picnic? Our outreach events are growing, so we need higher quality equipment! This Square Terminal would allow us to accept donations and process other transactions much faster as well as print receipts. We are looking for $300 to purchase this item. We are just over a month away from our Veterans Day Picnic! It is an excellent opportunity for YOU to make a difference in the lives of our nation's heroes!

This event is our largest fundraiser of the year. As a non-profit who does not charge for our services, we rely on fundraisers like these to support our therapy partners, the WarHorses, maintain a clean and safe facility, ensure that all of our equipment is up to safety standards, and provide other necessary resources to continue to help our heroes.

There are lots of ways that you can help! We still have sponsorship opportunities open! Each one comes with different ways for us to show you our thanks including a ride on one of the WarHorses and sharing your business logo on our platforms. Check out the options below!

We also have vendor spots open and are accepting silent auction donations!

A busy but a fun weekend!

First, we presented to a group of highschoolers through an AgTech internship program! Had them up and on their feet!

Then on Saturday we had a great time at the Memphis Brewfest! Stay tuned for more events!
